Session description

The TotFit sessions focus on gross motor competency and whole-body movements, providing a solid foundation for developing higher motor competence levels. Gross motor skills are important to enable children to perform everyday functions, such as walking and running, playground skills (e.g. climbing) and sporting skills (e.g. catching and throwing). Social skills such as sharing are developed through these sessions. Parental/guardian assistance is required for this age group. Games and activities such as Kick the Balloon, Colour Tidy Up, Ball Tapping and incorporate object movement such as catching, throwing, bouncing, and dribbling as well as self-movement, such as balancing, rolling, jumping and running. We use a variety of sporting equipment, including, footballs, tennis balls, gonge agility set, hoola hoops, and many more to make the sessions fun and engaging!
